Beautifull walk.
Difficult start with a steep uphill walk in high temperatures. Sometimes searching for the trail. But a great view on top. Downhill was a walk in the park.
Very easy path on paved road. Great sceneries over the lake and mountains. The track coil close the loop of the lake but it was closed short after the point I reached.
Blencathra loop in the snow
Tough with 14kg on back as training for GR20! Great walk though. Dry weather and little wind so Sharp Edge quite manageable. Fabulous views.

Nice walk
Very wet so sharp edge was very tricky - was roped up so confidence got us through it. Long walk around, just wanted to extend the day but extensive cloud ruined the views!
Went up Blencathra in the cloud. Came down and strolled into Keswick for dinner then back to the campsite.

Scales to Keswick via Blencathra and the Threlkeld railway path. This is the easiest east to west route over Blencathra, ascending via Mousthwaite Comb.
From Blencathra centre, to Blencathra, down to Scales, where we had a pint, and then a walk back to Threlkeld. Tough but so enjoyable!

Threlkeld - Keswick. Family friendly flat walk which can be undertaken in either direction. Re opened in 2022 after flood damage, it is ideal for young kids who want to walk, scooter or cycle. Tarmacked the full route.
Takes in three Wainwrights: Bannerdale Crags, Mungrisdale Common and Bowscale Fell. Add in Souther Fell if your legs allow.
