The ferry to cross the Eem river doesn't operate on Sundays and costs 0.80€
In general, the route runs along the 'fietspad' network with some deviations to avoid running on paved paths all the time. Technically, the route is easy and flat, but runs through very exposed bits that can be very windy some times.
On the way to Naarden, I made a mistake and had to go back to cycle through the city, but it's possible to rearrange the route to cross the city from south to north and pass near the Grote Kerk.
It was also a bit of a mess to find the way to Kromslootpark after crossing to Flevoland due to the road works after the bridge.
Kromslootpark might not be the nicest to cycle when grass is too tall, but the views are worth it and you may get to find yourself following (what looked like) a deer, like I did.
Right before crossing the drawbridge back to Nord-Holland, there was a mobile snack-van parked nearby which came in handy to buy some drinks and snacks. It surprised me the fact I didn't see any fountain in the entire route, so you better stock up when you can!
Before arriving to Huizen through Eemnes grasslands, I went on a ferry to cross the Eem river, but remember it doesn't operate on Sundays and it might be necessary to re-route that bit.
You can find the ferry's operating schedule in the next link:
