Descrizione dell'itinerario
To access the trailhead, follow Old Gympie Road, a dirt road that can be easily accessed from both ends until you reach Eaton Road. Once you arrive, simply proceed around the gates and follow the sandy trail. As you hike, you'll encounter a steep gully that you'll need to cross before ascending further towards the peak.
Soon, you'll find yourself between the two towering mountain peaks. The trail leading to the West peak is quite prominent, marked by loose rocks that you'll need to navigate. While it can be challenging due to the loose terrain, it doesn't require advanced technical skills.
As you continue upwards, you'll encounter a headwall. At this point, follow the trail to the right, which takes you around the base of the headwall. While there may be some scrambling involved, it's not highly exposed or overly technical. This part of the hike rewards you with stunning views of the Glass House Range.
After navigating this section, you'll reconnect with the main trail that leads to the summit. Once you reach the summit, I recommend heading west across the top to enjoy an open view to the north. To return, follow the more commonly used path downhill
