Descrizione dell'itinerario
Scotland's best known long distance walk, 96 miles of varied terrain, some days are more challenging than others but the scenery is always stunning, unfortunately some days the views can not be appreciated due to the Scottish weather.
We completed the walk in 2018 and completed it over seven days, this included a one day stop at the Sallochy campsite on the bank of Loch Lomond, although no need to take this "day off" from walking, we really wanted to enjoy a day beside the loch, the campsite needs to be pre-booked and you can stay for a maximum of three nights, there is drinking water, washing facilities and composting toilets which were some of the cleanest toilets we have come across, water on the trail is plentiful so there is really no need to carry too much, just make sure to filter any water that you use for drinking as there are wild and farm animals throughout the route.
