Warde to Near Qafka

This path was one we took accidentally a while ago but without fully completing due to my buddy feeling unwell.

On that occasion we had intended to do the path described on "Full Circle on Kfar Debian/Qafka Plateau 2" but took a wrong turn at the waypoint "Decision Point" (we took a left when we should have taken a right).

On this hike, we deliberately took a left with the intention of continuing North by North East and eventually intercepting the main road above an to the east of Qafka (instead of ending-up on top of the valley overlooking Qafka).

Nature is beautiful in this area, especially the trees look more like they're out of a computer simulation rather than reality. Several times, we didn't know whether we were looking at small trees that were close or big trees that were far. They fooled us every time!

If you intend to do this course, keep in mind that the path shown here is reconstituted from memory. Thus shortly after "Decision Point", the trail ends and the path described becomes very approximate.

To get to the main road just keep a general heading of about 22 degrees magnetic (i.e. North by North East) while following the top of the ridges until you have a clear view of the road.
Once you do, then carefully work your way down. It can get hairy at times but it is nothing that the average hiker can't handle.
Once on the main road, then continue down to the Army checkpoint while enjoying the breath-taking view of valley where Aqour, Kafka, Yanouh, and a few other villages are located.
We took a ride from there back to Warde in order to collect our car.
Total moving time 6 hours 10 min.
