Descrizione dell'itinerario
The hike begins with a stretch along the Ridgeway, leading to Ivinghoe Beacon. The views are great, stretching for miles on a clear day, but be ready for the wind, it can get pretty strong up there!
After the climb, the trail descends into the serene beechwoods of the Ashridge Estate. In autumn, the colors are stunning, and the National Trust has beautifully preserved the area.
The rest of the hike is easy, with mostly flat or downhill paths. As you finish, you’ll pass through Aldbury, a charming village with stone cottages, a picturesque green, and the historic St. John the Baptist Church, dating back to the 12th century, which stands tall and proud in the heart of the village, adding a touch of history to this peaceful setting.
Overall a lovely walk filled with natural beauty and timeless charm.
