There are two contrasting walks here. The first is a rocky hill walk with woods, blueberries in season and grazing meadows. From the summit, known as the Cloud, there are fine views over the Cheshire plain including the radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. The route returns to the Timbersbrook car park. This is pleasantly set out with picnic tables and views over the stream. The second loop is at low altitude through farms and meadows. It includes a leg along the towpath of the Macclesfield Canal and a disused railway path, the Biddulph Valley Way.
