This walk across the Greensand hillsstarts in the touristy Village of Shere and progresses through the outskirts of Gomshall and through Peaslake to Ewhurst. Wonderful views in particular from the Iron age fort on top of Holmbury Hill. Most of the route is on footpaths or tracks with a section on the single track, very quiet Jesse's Lane. Rated as moderate due to a steep decent from Holmbury hill. Food stops in Peaslake. Bus at either end of the walk connecting to both Shalford and Guildford. Thus, although a linear walk, it is possible to start and finish it on public transport.
