Shikalich mountain ( Շիկալիճ լեռ ) is the highest peak of the Karhanq mountain range ( Քարհանք լեռնաշղթա ) with the height of 2402 m, located near Vanadzor city ( Վանաձոր )
Some information about this trail:
--- We climbed it from Karaberd village ( Քարաբերդ գյուղ ) and returned there making a loop.
--- Lori province usually has mild climate, and you can climb this mountain in every season (but from the end of November till April the trail is usually snow-blocked).
--- We climbed up by the left route and went down by the right one, as we decided that it's better to climb by steep and short part and go down by the long one .
--- One of the first parts of the trail is full of stones, then you go by narrow path till the last part (there is no path to the top and first part of going down)
You go down mostly by vehicle traces.
--- The most beautiful month for this area is the end of spring, especially May and early June.
