Roberts Point Track - Franz Josef Glacier 2016-08-09 8:37

Com he comentat en el track del Fox Glacier, és molt fàcil arribar al davant dels glaciars, però també hi ha l’opció de buscar algun camí que et porti més a munt i disposar d’una millor visió, a la vegada que camines per indrets molt menys concorreguts.
Ens vàrem aixecar aviat i vàrem ser els primers en iniciar el Roberts Point Track.
Aquest sender no està tant preparat ni assenyalat com altres, però està molt ben equipat amb quatre impressionants ponts penjats i un parell de trams d’escales aèries. Un dels ponts realment fa impressió ;-) Tot això ho diu un cartell a l’inici, per tal d’evitar que passejants s’hi aventurin sense preparació. Nosaltres el vàrem fer tots quatre sense problemes, tot i que en dies de pluja hi ha trams en els que caldria posar-hi molta atenció per no relliscar de valent.
El corriol és molt bonic, i quan arribes a dalt de tot, et trobes amb un mirador de fusta amb una taula i uns bancs, un luxe poder dinar o fer un mos davant d’aquell espectacle de gel en moviment (que cada any recula i d'aquí poc desapareixerà del tot;-(

As I mentioned in the track Fox Glacier, it is very easy to get to the front of the glaciers, but we also have the option to find a way to take you above and have a better view while you walk through places much less crowded.
We got up early and were the first to start the Roberts Point Track.
This trail is not so much prepared and labeled as others, but is well equipped with four stunning hanging bridges and a couple of flights of aerial ladders. One of the bridges really makes impression ;-) A sign warns at the beginning, to prevent walkers come unprepared. We did it without problems, although on rainy days there are stretches where it should pay careful attention to avoid slipping hard.
The trail is very nice, and when you reach the top, you find a wooden gazebo with a table and benches, a luxury to eat something at the sight of moving ice (each year back and soon disappear altogether ;-(

Ruta muy entretenida que te deja en un observatorio bastante bueno sobre el Franz Josef
Hi Saltacamberas... gracias por tu comentario. Me encanta recordar este viaje, y esta ruta fue interesante, a veces cuesta en NZ adentrarse en el bosque "natural", en este caso es fácil, bien preparado pero sin ser excesivo ;-)
