We hiked up the Rio de La Miel route to Nacimiento and then to the top of the valley on the Fortaleza de los Castellejos ridge line just below the Peñón de los Castellejos and back to our starting point. We had beautiful views of snow on the Sierra Nevada, to the Mediterranean Sea as far as Motril, and as far as Malaga in the other direction.
