We took the bus to the RSPB reserve at the west lighthouse. After looking at the birds we explored the 3 trails which are in that area
- Kebble Cliff walk to the south-west, around Kebble Lake
- Kinramer North walk which heads up to a section of the cliffs on the north side of the island
- Kinramer Permission path, which then heads to a section of the cliffs on the southern side.
I made a mistake near the start of the 3rd path. After starting the walk (by passing through the gate by the road) then instead of following the GPS track you should go through another gate on the left. The park is signed with little wooden posts with blue arrows. On the way back, going through thick vegetation, keep an eye out for the stile on the right - it's easy to miss.
The views by the coastline are stunning, and in springtime the area is awash with wild flowers. We didn't see another walker on any of the trails!
After you return from the 3rd trail you have to continue down to Church Bay on the road, but it's very quiet.
