We did only the first part until Pico do Esperança and the way back to the starting point.
Amazing! Easy to follow, with beautiful views and landacapes of Sao Jorge itself and all the surrounding islands, especially Pico and its mountain.

I dont think this trail is worthwile doing it. It is just a trail for farmers and you walk through grassland. If you have clouds as we had you can not see anything. There are no any kind of infrastructure fot hikers. We had to eat our meal standing up and sitting literally on the dusty ground. There are no water sources. 21 kilometres like this is to much saving only the arrival to the faja de ouvidor.
