Descrizione dell'itinerario
Google draws the route to the Bridge along the NF 2223. But it ends somewhat half kilometer to the trail head. There is another road that starts at the point 44.761181, -122.234258 and leads to the spot that is 100m from the bridge. Google marks this point as the official Phantom Natural Bridge trail head. But this road even not marked on the Google maps and I do not know how good is it.
As the French Creek Ridge trail passes the bridge and continues downhill I missed the turn to the bridge though it is marked with small stone pyramid. I had to return and you see additional segment branching from the main route. Watch for this pyramid and the fallen tree on your right (see photo) when you go.
The Bridge is impressive but covered with trees. So, you can not see it fully open. There are traces that people walked on top of the bridge. Brrrr...
If you decide to follow my trail and leave the car on the NF 2207, than you can combine this hike with the easy trail to Opal lake. The trail head to the Opal lake is somewhat 500 meters down the road. See https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/opal-lake-26849311
Waypoint

Turn to lake
On our way we explored all tiny lakes marked on the map. This is the first one

Rhododendron
There are a lot of rhododendrons blooming in July. In fact, they grow everywhere like weeds

Sempervivum
After you overcome green steep slope you get to the flat top covered with chipped crumb where Sempervivum feels itself quite well

Dry lake 1
There are small dry lakes at the flat top. And nice white flowers looking away from the Sun

Official Phantom Natural Bridge trail head
This point is marked as the official Phantom Natural Bridge trail head on the Google Maps. Looks like some times ago it was true as still there is a road coming to this spot.
