Descrizione dell'itinerario
A gentle loop through part of the scenic Nahal Alexander trail, starting at the famous Turtle Park — though today the turtles were feeling camera shy (don’t worry, we attached a throwback turtle photo from a previous visit to keep the legend alive 🐢).
We set off at 7:30 AM to beat the sun — smart move, since much of the trail has partial shade and the morning light was kind to us. The trail is a favorite of cyclists (we’ve biked it ourselves from Highway 4 to the sea and back), but thankfully Friday morning was pretty quiet on the two-wheeled front.
Snack break by the ruins of Khirbet Samara — where we also spotted a jackal about the size of a German shepherd, just casually trotting by.
Then a cool-down moment at Beit Yanai Beach before heading back.
The trail is flat, easy, and friendly for walkers, joggers, and bikers alike. No mountain goat skills required. Just don’t forget to bring water — Israeli summers are no joke.
