If you listen to the advise of senior Google it suggests to take the arm rd turn but it is blocked off and will add some extra hiking l kilometers, instead continue along Maggs rd to find the other entry to arm rd and the start of the hike

Route took 2 days as we started hiking at 1pm and camped at Pellion hut for the night (12km) Started hiking at 6am summited Ossa back to the hut grabbed our tent and gear and hiked out (26km) only recorded the trail on the way up

Time in Tasmania was limited and could not commit to doing the overland track but wanted to summit Ossa and found this hike, it is free and you can make use the hut facilities although out of respect for the paying people probably best to bring a tent and camp outside.

Plenty of fresh water everywhere streams creeks etc so don't load up too much.
