Follow the road north out of Sagada to Bangaan instead of the beginning of this route it takes you through the rice fields (not advised).
The route does go through areas that might be private property near Bangaan (not sure) just be aware. Good long ridge walk that covers Mt Datacan, Mt Langsayan and the mossy pine forest. with great views and you can stop at Coffee Heritage on the way for good espresso and food.
