Descrizione dell'itinerario
MANLY TO SPIT BRIDGE COASTAL WALK
Lookout over Sydney Harbour from the Manly scenic walkway
Weaving through a mix of lush bushland and scenic harbourside trails, the 10 km Manly to Spit Bridge Coastal Walk is a series of short tracks passing some of North Sydney's stunning beaches, bays and inlets. The walk is well sign-posted and takes around 3-4 hours to complete, depending on your fitness level. There plenty of great vantage points to be found along the track offering spectacular views across Sydney Harbour, including at historic sites such as Grotto Point Lighthouse and through the Sydney Harbour National Park.
To begin, jump on board a ferry for a scenic ride across the harbour to Manly. From Manly Wharf, the coastal trail winds past Dobroyd Head, one of the walk's most scenic locations and a great place to take in more views of the harbour. Continue through the Sydney Harbour National Park at Castle Rock, before passing by the shorelines of Clontarf Beach, Sandy Beach and Fisher Bay.
For a break along the trail, take a dip at one of the pristine beaches, such as Reef Beach in Manly or Forty Baskets Beach in Balgowlah. Between May and November, stop to spot migrating whales as they make their way along the NSW coast. Refresh at one of the cafes and restaurants found at either end of the coastal walk.
Many walkers also choose to catch a bus from the city to the Spit Bridge in Mosman to begin the walk from the opposite end. If you'd rather do just a section, it's easy to dip in and out of the walk along the route.

A fantastic walk and great way to view the magnificent Sydney harbour. If you start at Spit Bridge you can finish with a great lunch at one of the many restaurants in Manly (harbour or beach)

Great walk had to amend the route a little due to high tides
