This trip was good cardio for the first hour! We met the trail at la Pedrera de Montbau, and took the steep trail up over carretera de l’Arrabassada to the pista forestal B01, for the quick payoff: the views at turo de Magarola are some of the best in the whole of the Collserola. We detoured from our normal track and passed the beautiful Can Valldaura, before the familiar Mirador de Cerdanyola. Looping back toward the city, we headed towards Mirador de Montbau, but took a shortcut making our own trail, straight down the slope to the Velodrome/Labyrint. (We wanted to make time for a beer in the park.) On the way down we saw a massive jabalí (wild boar) but luckily it was running away from us! We reached the Parc Labyrint before the kiosk closed and enjoyed a beer and some people watching on the grassy hill in front of the Parc, one of our favorite spots to waste time in the sun.
