Descrizione dell'itinerario
*Warning: the Western section of the ridge path of Parkhouse Hill is steep and difficult. Trekking poles are essential if descending Westwards from the summit.
Alternatively, you can:
(1) avoid the difficult section of path by going up to the summit from the East side then descend the same way then continue the walk by taking the footpath that roughly follows the 275 metre contour South of Parkside Hill
(2) do the whole walk in reverse so that you go up the West side and down the East side. This makes the West side a bit easier but care is still required and trekking poles recommended
Waypoint

Intersection
This is the start of the footpath route from Longnor to Crowdecote. Some paths were not well marked in 2024 so the route is described in some detail

Intersection
Look for a white footpath sign painted on the water trough (somewhat faded in 2024)

Intersection
The public footpath goes across the field between the end of the stone wall and the tree

Waypoint
The footpath goes through the gate and continues straight on, following the stone wall in the left hand side

Intersection
When you get to this metal gate, do not go through the gate but turn left on a footpath that goes through a gap in the wall just before the gate. This was not easy to find in 2024

Waypoint
Continue straight on to the right of the building and through a gate into the field

Waypoint
The public footpath goes straght across the field to the left of the tree that is to the left of the house.

Intersection
Footpath sign shows where the path doesn't go> It appears to have been diverted
