I needed Wikiloc to navigate out of Litochoro. Once on the track you follow the red markings (or Japanese flags if you like that name better). The climb at the start takes about an hour and takes you to a nice viewpoint to catch your breath. After nearly 2 hours you need to change routes. By then you should have seen a sign to Litochoro. Just follow that and you’ll head back to the village. Big part of the way back is part of the E4 track.
I wouldn’t recommend to do the track the other way around as the path is much rockier and uneven.
