We took a bus from Huaraz to Pitec, starting point of the trail.
It’s mostly uphill and rocky. Before reaching the lagoon you have to climb a bit some rocks (there are chains you can grab).
Note: we did the loop counter-clockwise and we highly recommend doing it so.
It took us 3 hours to get to the lagoon with some short breaks in the middle, and 1 hour to get back (no breaks)
It’s very beautiful!!
