Descrizione dell'itinerario
We began our hike at La Maison de la Forêt, heading down the road to the right until we reached a small trailhead tucked between two metal posts. From there, we started ascending. Early on, we reached a three-way intersection—left, right, or steeply uphill—and we chose to continue straight uphill.
Eventually, we reached a large cylindrical concrete water tank, where the trail met a paved road. We turned left, following the road for a short while.
Soon after, we turned down onto a dirt path, walking with houses to our right. Eventually, we came upon another group of houses and took a small left turn into a lush, overgrown area. There, a narrow trail was visible weaving through the vegetation, which we followed until we reached a rectangular water reservoir.
From the reservoir, we walked along its edge and continued straight downhill, eventually rejoining the road leading back to La Maison de la Forêt, where our loop came to an end.
All in all, it was a beautiful hike, mostly inside the forest, with only a few short stretches along the road. We were surrounded by pine trees. Along the way, we saw and heard many birds, including blue jays, plenty of mésanges (tits), and a number of blackbirds. We even spotted a few chameleons quietly blending into their surroundings.
It was a peaceful and rewarding walk in nature—calm, fresh, and full of life.
Only little downside is not many viewpoints!
