Descrizione dell'itinerario
Must do! Easy to reach from Amman for a nice day trip.
The track heads through the countryside onto the crest of the hill with dramatic views over the King Talal Dam and beyond.
You can extend the hike as much as you want (we decided at some point to return).

1st km ok☑️
2nd totally not ok, no road, need to go back at 2,5km because no way to continue and very slippery.

First kilometre is fine, can follow the trail and there are beautiful views.
After that, the scenery remains breathtaking, but kilometres 2 and 3 are extremely difficult in places and quite dangerous. The path disappears at many points and you have to clamber along the side of steep dirt slopes.
We decided only to do the first large loop. Once you hit the half way point (~3km), the paths are easy to follow, but quite steep uphill.
At points along the path you might encounter semi domesticated dogs that will bark at you. As long as you keep your distance and walk on, they will leave you alone.
It’s a beautiful hike, but I would only recommend doing it with an experienced guide or if you are good at climbing!
