Really nice walk/hike on a perfect warm springtime day.. quite east and very interesting with a great mix. Parked and walked down towards the Monastery of our Lady of Kaftoun (where it is said that our Lady Mary made an appearance. Walking with the sound of the river amazing orange grove s, olive groves, fir trees and ancient ruins of old mill sites. Quite an easy hike except for one part halfway where we could'nt find the trail down to the river and across the bridge and turn back. We improvised and found our way. At the final 1/3rd we made a small error and went through the fence around a locked gate and had to return back.. we had a great break and snack near to the river, always present at this time of year. Getting back to the gate the last part is on the road.
