Start by taking the Wong Nai Chung Tree Walk to the Tai Tam Country Trail and then on to Parkview. Here the steep climb starts to Jardine's Lookout. Descending to the saddle between Jardine's Lookout and Mt. Butler, take the path leading west along the open stormwater drain to some steep stairs off to the right which brings you back to Mt Butler road near the quarry. A short but tough climb in the hot and humid Hong Kong summer climate, would be much easier in winter.
