Start from the Black Swan or the nearby lay-by. Head NW and north to the A143. Cross over and head uphill. There are fine views over the Waveney Valley. The trail follows fields and woods and drops down to the Dentonwash stream. Head SE beside the stream to Saint Mary's Church, Denton. This is a fine old flint church.
