Descrizione dell'itinerario
For my 100th hike, I wanted a real challenge, so I chose this thrilling one-way route! A huge thank you to Rainbow Hiker Patrick Vijay D'Silva for organizing this memorable trek.
Important Note: This one-way trek requires planning ahead with two cars: one at the start and another at the end. Hikers are recommended to use the alternative endpoint (link provided) for a smoother conclusion.
Parking and End Points:
• Start Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/B2PveKFP3GMAYfpn9
• Original End Point: Not recommended for hikers (intended for Village peoples).
• Alternative End Point (Recommended): Jebel Jais View Point 3 Wasab village - https://maps.app.goo.gl/EuUfTF1iwXj5P7ZF9
• Alternative End Point: Samar Trail Hiking Parking - https://maps.app.goo.gl/hYGTZ2hE5ECD6Lps8
The First Ascent Trail starts with a 2-kilometer climb, quickly gaining about 500 meters in elevation before linking up with the Highlander Trail. This intense ascent rewards you with breathtaking mountain views and a great sense of accomplishment. There’s a rest shelter halfway up for a well-deserved break, and another at the top where the Highlander Trail connects.
From the second shelter, we hiked rightward along the Highlander Trail toward Jebel Rahabah. Before reaching Jebel Rahabah, we descended to Wassab Village. Before reaching Wassab Village, we took a right turn and navigated down the Wassab Stairs to connect with Nayt Village. Continuing from there, we made a left at Nayt Village to join Jebel Al Jais Road, marking the end of our epic one-way adventure. This challenging journey made for an unforgettable 100th hike!
