Descrizione dell'itinerario
Due to the nature of the terrain, I strongly recommend wearing boots and ascending up the western route and down the eastern (as per this route).
The route up has many cairns (especially after the secret farm) to follow. The way down does not but it is a much easier route to follow as you are mostly in a steep gully.
Waypoint

Slope Climb
Watch out for stone markers along this route to guide you in the best direction. If you find yourself you on a section of scree, check your position and try to locate the central rocky spine that has the best footing.

Hidden Farm
A most bizarre and unexpected find when you reach the small plateau. Tucked away behind the rock line is this small farm with ruined buildings and lots of greenery.

Marker
Head through the back of the farm and look for the stone marker to signal the start of the next climb.

Viewpoint
After rising out of the gully, keep looking for the markers. The valley used for the descent should be visible over the ridge in the foreground.

Return Point
The markers continue north up the ridge if you want a longer hike. There are some farms visible just up from this point. The descent will be down the ridge leading to the small peak in the near distance.

Ruins
Run for a quick detour up the ridge for a fine view over RAK or head on down the gully.

Descent Scramble
The descent is relatively tough in places but keep a low centre of gravity and find decent hand and foot holds - you’ll be fine! The wadi bed is a welcome sight.

Road
The road back towards Wadi Bih is dotted with little farms and old ruins. Be mindful of the local residents.

Great hike. We did it in reverse, as we lost the trail in the beginning, and then were able to pick it up again.
