A small mountain famous by virtue of the only Lakeland fell where you need to do a bit of rock climbing to get to the top. The rock climb is only about 5 metres on what is really a boulder on the summit. (The "Lion", "Howitzer") I would grade it moderate in English rock climbing grade. A fall though, at the hard bit could be serious. (and more exposed than the photo of me suggests).
Recently made famous by A.W. Wainwright and Julia Bradbury. Wainright was frustrated at never having the guts to do the rock climb.
The walk up the fell is easy with very good footpaths.
Our detour to the waterfall (waypoint "A") however was a waste of time as you could not even see the main waterfall even if there is one.
Although it looks on the map that you can park nearer to the fell, in practise it is very difficult. It must be one of the busiest parts of the Lake District which is not surprising as it is one of the most beautiful parts, so we paid our £5 to park in Grasmere in order to do a circular walk.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trail. The views were priceless! We had a gloriously sunny day, and that made a huge difference.
The entire trail was was walk through pastoral splendor, especially the return leg on the lane.
