Arduous walk (because of steep climb to ridge followed by steep rock scree to summit) in warm sunny conditions. Views across SW from summit. Federation peak, Pecipitous Bluff, Adamsons Peak etc and across to Cockle creek bay. Beautiful tarns have brown trout in them. Fishermen at Esperance Tarn.
Pair of Mcleays swallow tails playing on summit. Several snow sinks. Diff kinds of grasshoppers. Warratahs just emerging. Eye bright and bauera in full bloom. Only birds heard were New Holland honeyeaters - were everywhere.
