Creigiau gleision from capel Curig. Cymru.
Μια ενδιαφέρουσα πεζοπορικη διαδρομή πάνω από όμορφους λόφους. Η διαδρομή είναι συναρπαστική με εκπληκτική θέα. Η περίπλοκη εύρεση διαδρομής γίνεται πολύ δύσκολη σε ομιχλη. Απαραίτητη η χρήση χάρτη πυξίδας και GPS λόγω της πολυπλοκότητας του εδάφους. Η απόσταση είναι 14 χλμ. με 690 Μ. υψομετρική διαφορά και χρειάζονται 6,5 ώρες για την ολοκλήρωση της διαδρομής.
Interesting hiking over a chain of beautiful hills. The route is intriguing with stunning views. The intricate route finding becomes very difficult in misty weather.
Start: Opposite Joe Brown outdoor shop.
Ascent: We leave the main well maintained path and we head to the hills North of Clogwyn Mawr, Clogwyn Cifran and towards the tiny lake Llyn Cbryn. After the lake we walk North east towards Crimpiau. From the summit there majestic views of Creigiau Gleision. We descend steeply west and then North West to a marshy col. We bypass Craig Wen in order to avoid rocks. We continue to the summit of Creigiau Gleision. We descend and walk along the ridge. Once we reach a fence we turn right and follow a path along the fence. From the second stile we turn right again and follow more or less a straight line inside a plantation. Once we reach the main wide path encircling llyn crafnant we fork right to Blaen y Nant. The final path to Capel cyrig is well maintained.
Terrain: Mostly poor paths over heather and grass.
Duration: 14 klm., 690 m. Elevation gain. You need 6,5 hours to complete the circular route.
