Not sure why it says 27kms, it was 10.84kms according to another app.
It's a good hike from the west side of Bukhansan to and finishing on the east side. The hike going up on the west side is far less crowded than other areas. But the last 1km is very steep rock stairs to go up. Overall, a beautiful hike that will let you start on one side and traverse to the other side. From Gupabal Station (구파발역) go out exit 2 and make a U-turn out the exit and you will find the place to get the 704 (blue) bus or the 34 (green) bus to where the hike starts. Going from here on the weekend will probably be packed on the bus with people that are going to the park's west side main entrance, so it may be wise to get the 704 bus from Bulgwang Station (불광역) and go out exit 2 and walk straight. You will see the bus stop at the middle island in the road on your right. Around 5 or 6 stops after where the majority of people get off for the main entrance is where you will start your hike the bus stop name is 효자2통. At the ranger office, there are two trails. Take the one to the left and follow it up to 백운대.

I followed the trail in reverse, and it was great. I got the sun from the back so could be a great option to start from the end in summer months.
