Nice walk on flat paths. This route takes you over part of the imposing estate of the Malbourogh families, Winston Churchill was born here. Oaks have been planted for 500 years; this produces impressive tree trunks.
There are catering facilities and toilets at the castle. The gardens are unfortunately not accessible with dogs, but the courtyard is.
Due to the building of an event, the access roads to the parking spaces were closed, so we parked along the road.
Along the way we came across a deer, pheasants and even a muntjac!!
All in all a very impressive walk!
Dog is allowed on a leash.
Mooie wandeling over vlakke paden. Deze route voert je over een deel van het imposante landgoed van de families Malbourogh, Winston Churchill is hier geboren. Er worden reeds 500 jaar eiken geplant; dit levert indrukwekkende boomstammen op.
Bij het kasteel zijn horecagelegenheden en toiletten. De tuinen zijn helaas niet toegankelijk met hond, de binnenplaats echter wel.
Wegens het opbouwen van een evenement waren de toegangswegen naar de parkeerplaatsen afgesloten, vandaar dat wij langs de weg hadden geparkeerd.
Onderweg kwamen we een hert, fazanten en zelfs een muntjak tegen!!
Al met al een zeer indrukwekkende wandeling!
