El Balcony Walk - W6 cerca de la montaña Jabel Shams, con 3.018 metros la mas alta de Omán, es una espectacular ruta de senderismo que sigue el borde del cañón de Wadi Ghul, conocido como el "Gran Cañón de Arabia" hasta llegar a la aldea abandonada As Sab. Es un track conocido y algo concurrido en temporada alta. El desafiante y estrecho sendero ofrece impresionantes vistas panorámicas sobre un entorno montañoso majestuoso. La ruta requiere buen calzado con excelente agarre y palos de senderismo, ya que el terreno es rocoso y resbaladizo en algunos tramos. Además, es imprescindible no tener vértigo, dado que en algunos puntos el sendero se encuentra muy cerca de los precipicios. A mi me afectan algo los abismos y la receta es mirar fijamente al suelo y disfrutar de las inigualables vistas desde algún punto más seguro :)
The Balcony Walk - W6 - next to the mountain Jabel Shams in Oman is a spectacular hiking trail that follows the edge of Wadi Ghul, also known as the "Grand Canyon of Arabia" leading to the abandoned village As Sab. This challenging and narrow path offers breathtaking panoramic views over a majestic mountain landscape. The trail requires good footwear with excellent grip and trekking poles, as the terrain can be rocky and slippery in parts. Additionally, it is essential not to suffer from vertigo, as some sections are very close to the cliffs. The views are unmatched, with amazing natural landscapes. Abysses affect me somewhat, and the remedy is to keep the eyes fixed on the path and enjoy the unparalleled views from a safe spot :)
