The only way to hike the 7 lagunas. Take the time to do this longer loop as the touristic short one only touches the first few lagunas, and the best and most beautiful views lie further ahead. It is a well marked trail that passes Ausangate, then a slightly steeper climb (200m) to the viewpoint of the first lagunas, then further on to the view of Puka Punta and then circles back via the other lagunas. We left at first light (6AM) and saw lots of Viscacha's waking up and running around so we took it slow, taking in the magnificent views regularly, we were back at the hostal in Pacchanta around 1PM. Experienced hikers will do this in/under 5 hours. Please be acclimatized before hiking this. If we had more time I would've added the there & back again to laguna Roja at the furthest point.
