Descrizione dell'itinerario
The trail started from Dahr El Kadib gate and up up and away. The trail we took involved reaching all the mountain peaks above 3000 m ASL (a total of four). The first one with no name (3000 m ASL), the second one named Fahed Summit (3050), the third one Znaneer Summit (3070 m ASL), and Qornet Sawda (3088 m ASL).
The terrain is typical of highlands with barren mountains, and scattered vegetation used for grazing by local goats. Highlands has its own beauty and mystique. We were surprised by the amount of snow still lingering around; the snow cave close to Qornet Sawda was the icing on the cake for this trip.
Another patch of snow we always look forward to see is a heart shape snow patch overlooking Oyoun Orghosh (an oasis in the middle of nowhere).
At the end of the hike, we were treated by clouds beneath us and a sun trying to call it a day.
Waypoint

Summit I
The first summit to overcome (3000 m ASL). Crosses are a mainstay on mountain hills in these areas. Christian villages almost always put a cross on the highest spot of their villages. This habit is copied by Muslim villages; now you see Flags with Islamic banners on top of Muslim villages.

Heart Of Snow
Qornet Sawda trail has this heart-shape snow patch landmark. When I hike the area around this time, this heart reminds us of the goodness and forgiveness of nature. some of my fellow hikers tried to be the cupid arrow in the picture.

Cedar Shape Vegetation
A collection of wild vegetation at the side of a hill resembling a cedar tree. It is befitting since the cedar tree is a symbol of Lebanon and is in the center of the Lebanese flag.
