Nice and easy trail going down to Adonis river. Breathtaking scenery and the cleanest fresh water I have ever encountered in Lebanon; Lebanon is still the greatest country under the sun. I see beauty anywhere I go.
Jannet Chouwen, is one of the most picturesque places in Byblos District, especially this time of year where the river is still flowing at full capacity and the flora is at its best. The stream that runs down from the mountain flows in "Nahr-lbrahim" known as the river of the god Adonis, (river of immortal love).
In Jannet Chouwen you will experience the pleasure of hiking in the majestic nature, mixed forests with oak, pine and many other plant species, until we reach its marvelous lake known as Jannet Chouwen

Hi Zahi, a question- do you need to enter Jabal Moussa reserve to do this hike?
No, even though it is part of the Jabal Mousa reseve.
Uou start from chouwan; but you have to pay the entrance fees LL8,000.00 I believe.
