This hike turned really short, must be my shortest ever. I could only do the little trail to the waterfalls before sunset. I was to rise at 3:00 AM and start hiking as early as possible to do the best part of the Hira range from Kitakomatsu station and beat my distance record on 1-day hikes. However it kept raining unrelentingly the whole night and I gave up the plan altogether.
Most frustratingly it was sunny once I got back home, the good point is that I could make the tent dry in no time.
Anyway I have some good shots of the 楊梅滝 waterfalls.
