Very pretty and recommendable trail run, even on a cloudy rainy day (22.8.2020)
Start in car park of Filzbach (free).
We followed signs for Talalpsee
Just before Talalpsee we caught route 73 (Sardona-Welterbe-Weg) which we follow past Spanneggsee and down to Mürtschen area where it is worth turning back and looking on the Mürtschenstock
Once in the Murg lakes we follow the routes for the "Rundwanderweg" which encircles Hochmättli.
Without completing the full "Rundwanderweg" circle (and returning on same path we came from) we choose to try another valley and return through Meerenboden, where we were treated to some nice views of Walensee.
Net moving time 4h30 so about 7.4km/h
In the main Murg lake there is a mountain restaurant where you can grab a bit to eat or drink
Actual ascent and descent is 2300 metres (Schweizmobil)
The only way to abort the route half way is the Murgtal Bus Alp Mornen which is a service that you will need to call.
