The route goes around a couple of sea "Lochs" or sea bays that are not easy to access from land. Views of the north Atlantic are very pretty on a sunny day (as the 26.5.18 indeed was).
There are two ascents during the day. The first one goes to a pass at around 600 metres near Glass Bheinn Peak. It follows mainly rocky single tracks. It reaches sea Loch Glencoul and from there it takes a forestry double track up for the second ascent of the day. At the top one will be facing sea Loch Glendhu and will go down to the bay and follow a double track which will continue until down to the road and Lochstack Lodge. From there you follow a flat double track until you need to make a small detour to the left into trackless territory aiming for a long Loch (Garbh-Bhaid). The path a long this long loch is narrow and close to the water. It seems to go on forever. Eventually you will reach Rhiconich and from there take the asphalted road to Kinlocherbie.
