At near 2.5km walking distance from main square, this is arguably the best trail running course close to Cusco.
- 3 archeological sites (Amarumarkawasi "Templo de la Luna", Chuspiyoq (k1.2), and PukaPukara ( k2.9).
- A small lagoon at Huayllarcocha (k2.5), beware of the dogs!
- Increase your pace through the eucalyptus forest (k3.5 to 4.5)
- And on the way back, follow the main Inca trail! (k5.2-7.2)

An amazing route. Sometimes difficult to run on, lots of criss-crossing trails, need to keep an eye on the route.
Amazing scenery and a great hike/run right on the outskirts of Cusco!

Pretty trail with a variety of different sections. I found it difficult to navigate the trail at times, hence the four stars. Not very technical but some fun downhills. The trail itself is fairly easy but the altitude makes it harder. Keep in mind that walking from the Cusco main square/center to the trailhead takes you up steep stairs.
