A visit to the cave Lofthellir a 3500 year old lavacave, a world of ice and darknes, located in the north-east part of Iceland near lake Mývatn. The cave boasts the greatest natural ice sculptures currently known in an Icelandic lava cave.

Hi Villi,
we're 5 people visiting Iceland this summer...and we were expecting to visit the Lofthellir cave by our own. Did you visit it by your own? If that was the case, did you know if they rent helmets, crampons or axes in Reykjahlid?
