We loved this hike so much that we did the loop three times. We loved this hike so much that we did it three times. Wait! I think I said that already. As it may look like we were caught in a time loop, this rock scramble is pretty adventurous. You must call for a reservation to hike in the Mohonk Preserve: 845 255-0919. If one time on the scramble loop is enough for you, when you’re done having lunch you can always head back into New Paltz and explore the town shops. Take a look at some foundation ruins along the trail. They are pretty interesting. Pay attention to where you are and where you are going. It sounds simple, but you might be surprised.

Only on the Sabbath but not before or after sunset. Actually was a pretty bad traffic jam. That's what happens when beginners go up the Rock Scramble everyone has to wait till....... Once a jam clears things just flow. It's hard to say how busy it normally is.
